Student Art Show at the Mall

We had our regional art show through the Wisconsin Art Education Association this week.  The artwork was displayed all week at the local mall.  Many schools participated with art from kids in grades K-12.  It is always so fun to see what other schools are doing.  The high school artwork is always so amazing!  We had our closing reception today and many families showed up.  It was a great turnout despite the freezing rain.  One artwork from each teacher was chosen to advance to the state art show which is held in the Capitol Building.  That show is held during March, which is Youth Art Month.  Here are some pictures of my students’ artwork.

Full panel of artwork. I realized after I hung it that I could have chosen a few more artworks. Last year I chose more and I struggled to fit them all on the board.
A display of various colorful art pieces on a wall, including abstract designs and a drawing of a lion with a blue ribbon, showcases the talent at the Student Art Show in the mall.
This cloth painting with the blue ribbon is the one going to the state show.
Four colorful abstract art pieces displayed on a gray wall at the Student Art Show. Each artwork has its own unique design and style.
Two colorful artworks displayed on a wall: a duck illustration with a blue award ribbon and a geometric design with a regional award, featured at the Student Art Show.
Three artworks from each teacher were awarded ribbons (blue, red and white). This bird painting got an award from Sax art company and she got a gift certificate to buy art supplies.
