  1. I did a leaf drawing project with my second graders this year and they were NOT happy! Each one of them complained about not being able to draw it… I even went through simplified drawing steps and had leaves on their tables for them to look at! Any suggestions? Seems like you got your 1st graders to do it! hah

    I don't know! I demonstrated how to look at the shapes of the leaves and they just went ahead and did it! If they complained about their leaves, I would help them try to fix the edges or I would remind them that it doesn't need to be perfect and just to do the best they can.
