Call to Art: Free Professional Development!

I wanted to let you know about some inspiring and informational professional development that is starting this week!   I am recommending this Un-Conference to energize art teachers.  While you are at home this week, be sure to check out this Call to Art: A Free Un-Conference for Art Educators.   I know many of these presenters and they are amazing art educators with a passion for what they do.  I’m sure you will leave with some new ideas to implement when you return to school.   I was going to be presenting on art journaling at the National Art Ed conference, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. Art educators are resourceful, sharing and creative! Cindy Ingram decided to put together an online conference, so we can all learn and grow from each other, even though we can’t be together in person.

I am excited to be a part of this professional development.  I will be presenting about art journaling and how you can use it for your own personal creative and therapeutic process. Art journaling is combining words and images (or just images) to express yourself in your own private space.  Art journaling is perfect for mindfulness and relaxation .

    Hi Marcia,
So you have a copy of your Unconference workshop up online? I watched it and loved it, but would like to look over some of the ideas again, particularly the one where you write out all your thoughts and feelings and then cover it up with paints, stickers, etc. I would like the visula to go by, if possible.

    Thank you,
    Kathie
