I have three new packages out in my Teachers Pay Teachers shop, which are available individually or as a bundle. These three products have a theme of KINDNESS! The art project and coloring pages can be used as part of lesson on kindness, acceptance and character education. The art project can also connect with science through the study of outer space. Coloring pages are fun for free-choice time, after school programs, indoor recess, day camps, etc. I never use coloring pages in place of art class projects, but I have fun making them and I know kids love them. I also know that kids finish at all different times and many classroom teachers enjoy using coloring as an option when there is “down time”.

The lesson plan and coloring pages go along perfectly with the book We’re All Wonders, by R.J. Palacio. This book has a great message about acceptance and seeing people as “wonders”. We all have something special about us that makes us different. We can choose to be kind and see the wonder in everyone we meet.
