Fitchburg Library Art Show

Back in November, we had an art show at the Fitchburg Public Library. The local library is a great place to display artwork and get your students’ art out in the public. It’s a great advocacy tool and shows community members what you do in art class at the local schools.  Other places we have had art shows in the past include the mall, a pizza place, a winery (owned by one of our parents), our school and a performing theater in town.  (The cow is always at the library. Isn’t it fantastic?)

The following images were taken by Mrs. B-P, my talented co-worker, who teaches middle school.

Have a great weekend!

Nice! Do you put something from all your students in the show? We are having a district show in May. But I teach 700 students! Do I display something from everyone? Or some and then do some group projects where everyone can have something represented??? Thoughts? Thanks!

    • Thanks! For the library show there is not enough room to display everyone’s art, so we display about 30-40 pieces. Ask the other art teachers in your district. Whenever I did district shows in the past we always had room for about 20 artworks or so. Last year we did our first Fine Arts Night and we had one piece of art from everyone. Good luck! It’s a lot of work!
