Back to School Sale & New Art Task Cards

sale_300_250Everything in my shop is 20% off August 3-4, just in time for back to school!  I have PowerPoints, Signs, Discussion Cards, Sketchbook Prompts, Art Journaling E-Zines and Getting to Know You Cards.

I also have new Art Task Cards which I think will be really useful for kids that need an idea starter.

Art Task CardsThis is a set of 240 (yes, 240!) Art Task cards. The cards contain a simple prompt that can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Encourage students to put their own spin on the prompt and see where it takes them. Be flexible and encourage creativity. There are 30 pdf pages with 8 cards on each page for a total of 240.

Use them as an art warm-up, create posters with options for the students to pick from, use them with a substitute teacher, pass out the cards and have the kids pick from them or drop them in a “drawing jar” for the students to take when they need an idea. The cards are colorful and attractive. I recommend laminating these or printing on thick cardstock.

Art Task Cards-- Idea Starters
Some sample prompts include:
– Illustrate a quote.
– A corner store
– Kites
– Solving a mystery
– Draw a picture that shows overlapping.
– Ghosts
– Draw confusion.
– A place you have visited
– A flag for an imaginary country
– Draw six shapes.
– A secret fort
– Ant colony
– I feel…
– Create a collage using only one color.
– In the ocean
– Things that start with the letter… (26 of these cards are the letters of the alphabet)
– Design your own money.
And much more!!

So as you can see, the prompts can be used to create a plethora of exciting artworks. You could also choose two cards and combine them.. such as Ghosts in an Ant Colony! That would be a crazy picture 🙂  Check out my TPT store to purchase these cards.
